When I was younger I was a keen actress and performed with The Royal Shakespeare Company in an updated version of The Tempest as part of the Cumbria Youth Theatre.

I am from a village 8 miles outside Leeds – we moved to Cumbria four years ago with our two children for my husband’s work. Before VeeVa! I was working as a chef at the Royal Yew at Dean.

I saw George Michael in a tiny nightclub in Leeds before he was famous.

Intellectually Stimulated By:
I don’t have time to be intellectually stimulated; my favourite way to relax is taking my dog Timmy for a walk followed by a couple of lagers in a local beer garden.

I was born in Heanor, Derbyshire and grew up in Eastwood, Nottinghamshire (famous for D H Lawrence). I moved to Cumbria in January 2010 with my husband.
I’ve gained a City & Guilds 706/1/2 Catering qualification and have worked for Nottingham City Council, British Coal, J Sainsburys Plc, Brinsley Lodge and Rolls Royce in catering.

My only claim to fame is singing on stage at Butlins.
