We try to support local farmers everywhere and use locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.

Our milk and eggs come from a local farm in Lamplugh; our meat comes from Cockermouth’s butcher Harrisons’. When it comes to crisps we sell Piper’s which are “made by farmers”.

Our tea is from Teapigs who have an ethical scheme and have made a pledge to help directly the communities that they work with. They also endeavour to use the most environmentally friendly materials in their packaging.

All our packaging is made from recycled materials that are fully compostable and 100% biodregradable.
